The VADETS Choose Your Vibe - Arrive Alive! campaign is a social media campaign to promote healthy, alcohol free lifestyles and the avoidance of consequences to health and wellness, academic and career achievement that results from engaging in illegal underage drinking and impaired driving. This webpage provides resources and a timeline for student ambassadors to reference throughout the campaign.

What is the Choose Your Vibe Campaign?

We want to engage Virginia high school students and college freshman in promoting and celebrating their alcohol-free lifestyles. Your Vibe promotes non-drinking behavior and non-drinking drivers. We aim to change the misperception of alcohol use among students and help to decreasing trends in youth alcohol related fatalities!

How To Be A Part of Our Campaign?

Do you have what it takes to be a SOCIAL MEDIA AMBASSADOR?

Virginia high school 11-12th graders and college freshmen are encouraged to become a social media ambassador for twitter or Instagram to support the Choose Your Vibe-- Arrive Alive Campaign. Students can earn up to $200 or $300 per session using their social media presence to share their safe driving and alcohol-free choices. Ambassadors who participated in sessions 1-2 will automatically be enrolled in sessions that follow.

AMBASSADOR REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW

Be a Virginia high school junior or senior OR college freshman
Be a role model for promoting non-drinking behavior and non-drinking drivers
Have an active presence on social media (X (Twitter) and/or Instagram)

Complete the ambassador training

Promote @YourVibeVA campaign messages on X, Facebook, and Instagram
Post #MyWinterVibe / #MySpringVibe / #MySummerVibe (depending on session) #ArriveAlive messages from your social media account
Participate in campaign #VibeVAchat X (Twitter) chats.

Student Contributor Assignment

Want to show off your social media skills and earn some money? Students in grades 11-12 and college freshman are invited to participate in the Student Contributor Assignment for Session 2 of the Choose Your Vibe Campaign. Show us what you would say and how you would handle various scenarios involving safe driving and underage drinking. Your ideas could be used in the next campaign session!
