  The VDOE, in partnership with VADETS, is pleased to announce a new online test prep learner's permit resource. This course is for students under 18 who have failed the learners permit test 3 times and who have already successfully completed the Driver Education classroom course. Students 18 or older may take the course after failing the Learner's Permit test 3 times without completing classroom Driver Education.
  
  We also created this resource for students, parents, ELL, and special education teachers. The course is available to anyone who would like to prepare for the learner’s permit test. More information can be found on DMV's website: https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/drivers/#three_exam_failures.asp
  
  Upon successful completion of the Online Driver's Manual Course, the teacher will send a DMC-3 certificate of completion to the student. The student under 18 will then present the certificate, along with his/her DEC-1 or DEC-8 driver education classroom completion certificate, to the DMV so they may re-take the learner’s permit test a 4th time. The student over 18 will present the certificate of completion for the Online Driver's Manual Course to DMV.
