The VADETS Choose Your Vibe - Arrive Alive! campaign is a social media campaign to promote healthy, alcohol free lifestyles and the avoidance of consequences to health and wellness, academic and career achievement that results from engaging in illegal underage drinking and impaired driving. This webpage provides resources and a timeline for student ambassadors to reference throughout the campaign.

What is the Choose Your Vibe Campaign?

We want to engage Virginia high school students and college freshman in promoting and celebrating their alcohol-free and drug-free lifestyles. Your Vibe promotes non-drinking behavior, not using cannabis underage and non-drinking/non-drugged drivers. We aim to change the misperception of alcohol and cannabis use among students and help to decreasing trends in youth alcohol/drugged related driving fatalities!

How To Be A Part of Our Campaign?

Do you have what it takes to be a SOCIAL MEDIA AMBASSADOR?

Virginia high school 10-12th graders (who have taken or are enrolled in a driver education course) and college freshmen are encouraged to become a social media ambassador for Facebook or Instagram to support the Choose Your Vibe-- Arrive Alive Campaign. Students can earn up to $200 or $300 per session for successful completion of ambassador responsibilities such as using their social media presence to share their safe driving and drug/alcohol-free choices.

Follow our campaign @YourVibeVA as students promote their alcohol/drug free lifestyles and safe driving practices!

AMBASSADOR REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW

Be a Virginia high school sophmore, junior or senior whose completed or enrolled in a driver education course
OR Be a college freshman
Be a role model for promoting non-drinking behavior and non-drinking drivers
Have an active presence on social media (Facebook and/or Instagram)
Complete the ambassador training.
Promote @YourVibeVA campaign messages on Facebook and Instagram
Post #MyWinterVibe / #MySpringVibe / #MySummerVibe (depending on session) #ArriveAlive messages from your social media account.
